Our Story!

Cornelius Williams dreamed of becoming a pastor, not knowing exactly when God would allow it but he knew their was a tugging upon his life from God. September 2015 is when the planning began for House of Prayer, months prior Cornelius Williams received a holy ghost download from the Lord in regards to starting a ministry. He was taken to Isaiah 56:7; “I will bring you to Zion, my sacred hill, give you joy in my house of prayer, and accept the sacrifices you offer on my altar. My temple will be called a house of prayer for the people of all nation.” In which he took the name House of Prayer out of the text and that is how we received our church name, also our Pastor LOVES to pray so it fits right in. The church goal is simple but wonderful; to help the young, old, rich and poor connect with God so that they can have their own personal relationship with God and for their souls to be saved. Our vision is to Connect Learn Worship and Serve. House of Prayer started with just 3 people, they were gathering in a hotel room for Sunday worship and Wednesday bible study. January 2016 is when the church moved into its first actual building and services begin to flow weekly. Now we are located in our 3rd location and in which we have grown! House of Prayer is honored to have Pastor Cornelius & 1st Lady Kenya Williams serve as the Shepherds over this flock.
